I didn’t grow up learning about money. In fact, I started out studying Sport Science and even wrote a thesis on knee reconstructions! While I didn’t end up in that field, the scientific mindset I developed has shaped how I approach financial advice. After university, I worked as a bank teller at Westpac and quickly discovered my passion for financial advising. Within a year, I began my journey in the industry, and I’ve never looked back.
Over the past 25 years, I’ve worked as a financial adviser, led teams at ANZ and AMP, and specialized in high-net-worth clients. I’ve also worked in governance and compliance within the Self-Managed Superannuation Fund sector. I hold a Bachelor of Science (Honours), a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning, the Certified Financial Planner designation, and an Executive MBA.
Throughout my career, I’ve realized that women often experience money differently. In an industry where women are still underrepresented, many women feel disconnected or overwhelmed by financial decisions. That’s why I created Her Money Matters - to help women take control of their financial futures with the knowledge, confidence, and support they need. Watching women transform from uncertain to empowered has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.
