Born and raised in Oxford, England, Seb has been passionate about property for as long as anyone around him can remember. As a kid, he spent his days building Lego empires and quietly dominating Monopoly boards, so it’s no surprise he turned it into a career.

Seb grew up in a household of strong women, raised by a single mum, which gave him a deep appreciation for the importance of financial confidence and empowerment. Today, as a husband and dad to a daughter and son, that perspective has only deepened. Helping women feel informed, supported and in control when making property decisions is something he genuinely cares about.

Fast forward to today and Seb brings over 20 years of property experience across Sydney, New York and London, working as a Senior Property Negotiator, REA, Valuer and Buyers Agent. Known for his measured, strategic approach, he’s also incredibly personable, friendly and highly responsive, making the property journey feel far less daunting for the people he works with.

Seb’s industry standing is well established. He has been consistently recognised as one of Sydney’s leading buyers agents for over a decade, is a multi-year REINSW Excellence Awards finalist, and has received national recognition as REB Buyers Agency of the Year and Your Investment Property Magazine’s Best Buyers Agent Services winner. He also served as the NSW state representative for REBAA, the national peak body for buyers agents, where he championed professional standards across the industry.

As co-founder of Hunter James, Seb’s mission is to help people feel confident, informed and empowered in their property decisions. He blends deep market insight with a down-to-earth, holistic approach, ensuring every client receives clarity, strategy and genuine support at every step.
